MEET RIGA has confirmed it will return to The Meetings Show in 2015 after bookings for events in the region were given a boost thanks to the show’s hosted buyer programme.
“Our first time at The Meetings Show prompted an increase in the number of enquiries and bookings we received for events in the region,” comments Aigars Smiltāns, Marketing and Communications Director at MEET RIGA. “Our schedule at the show was busy with almost 50 meetings throughout the three days, as well as a large number of walk-on appointments, particularly from UK buyers. Following the show we received bookings for a variety of events including large scale conferences which will have a positive impact on all businesses within the region. As The Meeting Show continues to develop its hosted buyer programme we believe it is a great return on investment for MEET RIGA and look forward to being a part of the show in 2015.”
MEET RIGA is the tourism development bureau for Latvia and Riga. Its service provides meeting planners with the tools to find the most suitable suppliers when booking meetings, incentives and events in Latvia and Riga whilst maintaining their position as a first point of contact throughout the process.
