Registration for the Great Ambassador Networking Group (GANG) is now open. The event, for Ambassador Programme organisers, will take place on 26 March 2015 from 9am – 4.30pm at the Old Ship Hotel, Brighton, directly after the ICCA UK & Ireland Debate which is also being held in Brighton this year.
The annual GANG event is designed to allow representatives to share their experience of working with local ambassadors to bid for conferences. The day’s programme will include a combination of talks about best practice, keynote speakers and breakout sessions, as well as an opportunity to network with other Ambassador Programme organisers. Delegates staying overnight in Brighton will also have the chance to meet up at Brighton’s newest dining hotspot the The Salt Room
Last year’s meeting was held in Cambridge with 40 attendees from mainly UK destinations, venues and universities.
Lynn Trapano, VisitBrighton’s Ambassador Programme coordinator, said: “I’ve attended GANG Meetings since they began in 2009 and find them immensely useful as a networking forum. Ambassador schemes are a great way of forging links with local influencers who can then help spread the word among their professional peer groups about what their home towns and cities have to offer.
“I’m delighted this year’s meeting is coming to Brighton. It’s a great opportunity to showcase the city to a group of close industry colleagues and I’m confident they will have a valuable and enjoyable time here.”
