The award-winning hotel Weetwood Hall is delighted to welcome Peter Dodd as its new General Manager.
LEEDS – Bringing a lifetime of experience in the hoteling industry, Peter Dodd is relishing the prospect of helping take Weetwood Hall to the next level.
Mr Dodd comes to Weetwood Hall from the Holiday Inn Leeds Garforth, where he was general manager for 12 years. Though his experience in the hotel trade spans much longer. Since leaving school when he secured a job in a nightclub, Peter Dodd has been involved in the entertainment and hotel industry and thrives of the vibrant and lively world of hospitality, where there is never a dull moment.
“I’ve wanted to work with Weetwood Hall for more than 15 years. The hotel has done some great work and has fantastic facilities. It is an extremely well-run independent hotel which is unique to the North of England,” said Mr Dodd.
Peter Dodd is keen to get involved with the continued investment project at Weetwood Hall, which involves a £1.6 million refurbishment of the ground floor and restaurant.
The General Manager is also savouring the opportunity to get his teeth into Weetwood Hall’s award-winning Stables Pub, which he sees as a “goldmine” with “masses of opportunity.”
“These are exciting times for Weetwood Hall and I am both lucky and proud to be part of it,” said Peter Dodd.
In his spare time, Weetwood’s new general manager is a keen cyclist. He also enjoys rugby, and coaches at his son’s rugby club. Having lived in Leeds for so long and being married to a local Leeds lady for more than 25 years, Peter Dodd says he is nearly accepted as a Yorkshireman!
